We went to Utah for Thanksgiving. We took a tour of Uncle Peters fire station. The kids loved the fire trucks and got to check out every square inch of the fire truck! Connor even got to turn on the sirens. Thanks Pete for the great time!! We love YOU!

I can't believe my baby is TWO now!! He is such a joy on our family!! Zach is a clown and is always trying to make us laugh. He is independent and full of adventure. If he wants something he will find a way to get it. The elementary school put on a Mother Son bingo night. It was a blast. It was a sports theme, so Connor wore his green soccer uniform and I wore Ty's old baseball jersey from when he was 12.(it was a little tight LOL) We were both number 4.

Zach is obsessed with the potty! He is WAY to young. He comes and tells me after he pees and poops and wants a new diaper. He has never gone in the potty but he totally knows whats going on! So what do you think is he ready? He is only 191/2 months!! My other kids didn't potty train until they were 2 1/2! He also just figured out how to climb out of the crib! CRAP!! He is so funny! This is what he does every meal! I have to wash him down in the sink at least twice a day. Sometimes I will look over and he will just have a chip on his head. He is obsessed with putting everything on his head!
If this wasn't bad enough he now thinks it's fun to play in his poop! I have got him out of the crib three times now covered in poop! No matter what I dress him in he figures out how to get his clothes off! What a little stinker!

The kids both had a friend sleep over on friday night. We had a cookout in our backyard with hotdogs and marshmellows. Zach LOVED the fire. It's a good thing that I could restrain him in his high chair. I think our poor dog ate just as many marshmellows as the kids, thanks to Zach. It is nice that the weather has changed so we can enjoy the backyard, I love the 70 degree weather!

We had a great Halloween. Samantha was a Pirate and the two boys were Vampires. Halloween night we had Grandpa and Grandma MacDonald over for dinner and then went trick-o-treating. Our neighborhood was FULL of little kids. It was SO fun. I bought tonz of candy and we ended up running out. I think we had close to 500 kids come to our door. WOW

Trip to UTAH

We went to Utah this past weekend to visit the family. We loved seeing everyone and seeing the fall leaves. My kids favorite part about going on vacation is getting to roll the suitcases through the airport.

We went to the scarecrow festival at Thanksgiving point with Grandma and cousin Ray. The kids loved it.

Ty and I went to the "Body Exhibit" with Jon, Bree, Steve, and my mom. It was SO cool. For those of you that live in SLC you should for sure GO. I thought it was so educational and wished I had taken my kids. AWESOME!!!

On the way home Connor got to sit in the pilots seat. The Pilot explained how to fly the plane to Connor. What a stud.

FEAR FACTOR BIRTHDAY PARTY!!

For the party we played fear factor games. The kids LOVED it. (thanks cousin Amy)
For this game each girl was given a piece of bubble gum. The first team to have someone blow a bubble WON.

For this game on girl was blindfolded caring a cup full of water and another girl was 20 feet in front of them with a empty cup. The rest of the team had to give them directions on how to get to the team mate with the empty cup. They then would pour their water into the empty cup and return to their starting position to fill their cup back up. The team that was able to fill the empty cup up first won.

This was Samantha's favorite game. I put whipping cream on one girl from each team. Then the rest of the team threw Cheetos at them for 45 sec. The team with the most Cheetos on the face at the end won.

WHOOPEE CUSHION RACE. The kids had to run and find a whoopee cushion under a blanket then sit on it. The team that was able to sit on all the whoopee cushion first WON

For this game the teams had a carton of eggs. They had to take one egg at a time and pass it to their team mates and then into a plastic cup. The first team to fill up a plastic cup WON

For this game the girls had to find gummy worms in a pie full of whip cream with their mouth. Once they found them their partner had to eat a new gummy worm. The team that had all five gummy worms eaten won.

This game the kids had to drink half a shot glass of LEMON JUICE. The first team to have all players drink it down won. (I was shocked they all did it WOW)

This Game was RAT toss, they had to use their mouth to get fake rats out of a bowl of water. Then they had to toss them into a bucket that their team was holding.

EIGHT YEARS OLD!!!

Samantha turned eight on October 1st. She is so grown up now. She is such a special spirit. She is full of love and light. I am so thankful that she is my daughter and am thankful for all of the many lessons that she has taught me. She is always willing to help out with her younger brothers who adore her. She makes friends so easily and is loved by all. Samantha you light up our home, thanks for being YOU!

Samantha choose to eat at Olive Garden for her birthday dinner. Grandma and Grandpa MacDonald came and also our new friends. Samantha choose Olive Garden because she new that they had a good chocolate cake that you get when its your birthday! (that's my girl)
We pulled the kids out of school on Friday and surprised them with taking them to Disneyland to meet up with their cousin from Northern California. They were so excited!!
Thanks Uncle Dave and Aunt Darlene for spending the day with us. We had so much fun!! We love out pumpkin necklaces and Samantha has worn her new earrings EVERYDAY!!

STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Connor got student of the week. We are so proud of him. He got to stand in from of the entire school at the Friday assembly. Connor loves school and his Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Marabotto is WONDERFUL!! I am so thankful for all of her hard work and patients that she has for the class. This is Samantha's friend Morgan. They are so cute together. Morgans younger brother is in Connors class at school. We have really enjoyed getting to know their family and are thankful for our new friends.
Connor and his twin Nahtan (Morgan's brother). This two are SO funny together. They are in the same kindergarten class and are always attached at the hip. "Hug me brother" is something we hear all the time from these two clowns.

It soccer time again. Sam and Connor are both playing soccer. Ty is the coach for Connors team. Samantha is on an all girl team and is the BEST goalie ever!!! She is taller than all the girls so she can throw it over all of their heads. She did not let the other team score at all!! WAY TO GO!!

SWIMMING LESSONS

We did swimming lessons in August and somehow I forgot to post the pictures. Connor and Sam both loved swimming lessons. Samantha has become quite a good swimmer and is thinking about doing swim team. Connor LOVES the water and is now able to swim from one end of the pool to the other. He also wants to do swim team (maybe next summer).

BACK TO SCHOOL

Samnatha started 2nd grade and Connor started Kindergarten. I can't believe that they are both in school. WOW. Samantha was so excitted to start school. She loves her teacher and is so happy she can FINALLY wear her new school clothes. Connor LOVES kindergarten. After the first day he told me that it was EXCELLENT. Connor's kindergarten is an extended day so he goes from 9 am untill 2 pm and Samantha goes from 9am untill 3:30pm. So it is just me and Zach at home. I am so glad that they love school !!

This is what Connor did on the first day. It is "the kissing hand". There is this cute book about a raccoon that goes to school for the first time and the mom kisses his hand and draws a heart and tells him that when ever he gets scared to look at his hand and he will know that his mommy loves him. What was so cute about this was that Samantha knew this story and the night before she drew a heart on Connors hand and had me kiss it, she then told him that if he got scared he could look at his hand and remember mommy loves him. How cute is that.

Lake Arrowhead

Zach likes to put everything on his head when he is eating. So he now has to have a bath after every meal in the sink. In this picture he has beans all over him. What a goof ball.

We went up to Lake Arrowhead this past weekend. We lived in lake arrowhead when I was pregnant with Samantha in 2000. This is where we bought our first home. It was fun to go back and show Samantha her first home. (it has not been taken care of at all). We also stopped by and saw some of our old good friends. They were totally shocked to see us but is was so fun to catch up.

Uncle Jon and Auntie Bree came out to visit along with Uncle Peter, Auntie katie and cousin Riley. We had so much fun. We went to Seaworld, the beach, and just hung out. Samantha loves to hang out with her two Aunts she adores them. Sam is the only girl cousin on the Thorpe side so she loves it that katie and Bree have joined the family. Zach and Riley had a lot of fun together. Thanks for coming out and playing with us. We can't wait until you come back in the fall.

THE BIG MOVE

Well we made it! It was a long drive but the kids did GREAT!! Ty drove the Uhaul and towed his truck while I drove my Durango with the three kids. We stopped in Mesquite for the night so it wasn't that bad. What was bad was the amount of money we spent on gas!! HE HE I think the Uhaul got like 9 miles to the gallon. Oh well we made it safe and are all moved in now. It was so nice to have the movers unpack everything that was worth every penny. I think the best part of moving is that you throw away so much!! As you know about 75% of everything we owned had been in storage for a year while we were in that rental so when I unpacked it I felt like we didn't need any of it. I was so used to living with just the necessary items that I didn't want all of that crap!! The kids loved getting all of their toys back.

We just got back from a two week vacation to California. The kids had a blast. Connor loved flying on "grandpa's" airplane, Samantha and Connor loved going to Disney land, and Zach LOVED the ocean. As for Ty and I we loved being able to finally make a decision on where we are going. So in TWO weeks we are moving to Temecula California. Ty has a new job with a Eagles Peak Charter school, and Susanne will be working at Inland Valley Hospital. We are excited to start our new life, yet sad to leave. Just so you all know you are all expected to come out and stay with us in Cali.

For Memorial Day weekend we rented this Family bike to ride around in Garden city. The kids loved it. We also took the four wheeler out and had some fun.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZACHARY!!!!

We are so excited that Zachary is turning one. His official birthday is May 24th, but we celebrated it with the family this past weekend along with cousin Ray's birthday. Zach is such a joy in our lives. Sam and Connor adore him and he just loves it when they play with him. I am so blessed to have another amazing baby. I love Zach because he cuddles with me, because he takes LONG naps which allows me to nap after working the night shift, because he is so dang cute, but most of all because every time I look at him I know how wonderful my life is. I am so blessed to have three amazing children. I love you.

Learning to walk

Zachy officially took his first steps on Monday all by himself!!! My mom is so awesome and is always getting the grandkids fun stuff. This is the latest a walker/bike. Mom Zach loves it!! Thanks for all you do and for being such an awesome grandma.

Congratulations Jon and Bree. Jonathan was married on May 15 to Bree the greatest sister in law ever. ( well just as great as Katie) There wedding was beautiful and I have to say that the cute kids running around was the greatest part. Can you believe how stinking cute the three boys look! WOW. Samantha was a flower girl and she ended up catching Bree's bouquet. I am so happy that you two found each other. Love you! Have a great honeymoon

First Grade field trip

Samantha's first grade class went on a field trip to a farm in Logan to see what life was like in 1919. They had a great time miling cows and learning how to make butter. The only sad part was that it was snowing!! I am so ready for summer!!

Okay I am so happy that Zach is now at the finger food stage!!! I love that I can put him in the high chair and just let him go to town! I love how messy he gets too.

Weekend at Grandmas

This past weekend we went to Salt lake for a bridal shower for our new aunt to be Bree. Uncle Jon is getting married on May 15. We are so excited. We spent the whole weekend looking for clothes for the wedding. Sam is going to wear a beautiful pink dress that Bree got for her. As for the boys Alisa and I went to EVER store in South town mall looking for bow ties and dress shirts for the three babies and for Connor and Ray. I can't believe how hard it was to find anything. I guess dress shirts are out of season. We finally found three matching dress shirts for the babies at Gap at Fashion place mall. But we did not have any luck with bow ties or anything for Connor and Ray. So on Monday after Sam got on the bus the boys and I went to Logan to begin the search again. I went to a children's specialty shop and SCORED!! Yeah they had bow ties. As we were looking at the ties Connor dropped some on the floor, so of course I told him to PICK THEM UP. As he bent down he started screaming. I casually hugged him and asked what happened. And then I looked at him and noticed that his eye was bloody. AAHH!! After examining it closer I realized that the metal rod sticking out from the wall had poked him in the eye. I was pretty sure that it was okay but we still ran over to the insta care to make sure. Everything is okay the Doctor said he will just have a bloody eye for like two weeks. YEAH!! Anyway we had a wonderful time visiting Grandma and Grandpa.

Okay so i have the best new dinner idea. You take chicken strips and roll them in ranch dressing and then in crushed gold fish crackers. Then bake them in the oven for like 15-20 min. and whalla dinner that kids love. Just had to share.

Trip to California

We recently took a trip to California to visit Ty's parents. The kids loved going to visit Grandma and Grandpa, going to the beach, seeing Las Vegas, playing in St. George, but most of all they loved getting out of the cold and seeing the sun again.

Happy Easter!!! We had a wonderful Easter. We first had a SNOW easter egg hunt here in Bear lake and then we went to SLC to have a easter egg hunt with the family. Sam loved the warm weather and decided she would wear a tank top, even though it was only like 60. Connor loved playing with his cousin Ray, they are out of control together. And Zach loved to see his cousin Portor but was sad that his other little cousin Riley couldn't make it, his daddy was at the fire house. We hope all of you had a wonderful Easter.

Our Dollhouse

Okay so I thought it was about time that I put a picture on here of our dollhouse!!! This is the rental that we have been living in sense August. We moved in here thinking that we would only be in here a month or two. LOL. This is place has two bedrooms and is about 1000 sq feet on TWO levels. HE HE. We have made multiple offers on different homes but have always backed out because it just has never felt right. Which is such a wonderful blessing. The good news is that we are still in the dollhouse and we never bought a home. This is good news because we once again will be moving on to a new adventure. Ty's job at the high school is not quite working out. The school here is to controlling with the kids and Ty feels that the kids are not treated the way that they deserve to be treated. So we now get to create a new adventure and move on. At this point in time we dont know where life will take us. Maybe to SLC, Logan, or California? We are looking at all of our options and seeing what is the best opportunity for our family. Well I hope you all have a greater sense of gratitude for your homes after seeing our cute dollhouse. However this has been such a wonderful experience to live in this dollhouse for so long becasue: we are all together all the time (there is no room to go anywhere else), we have realized that we don't need all the stuff we have (everything is still in storage), we have spent more time as a family then we ever used to (there is no where to go up here in the winter so you get to stay inside all the time), we have saved money by not eating out (the resturants are only open on the weekends up here in the winter), and most of all I will never take for granted the little things in life like a dishwasher, a garbabge disposal, a garage, supermarkets, firemen and paramedics that are sitting there waiting for me to call (everything is volunteer up here, which kinda scares me). I am so grateful for all of the wonderful times that we have had up here in Bear lake but I am definately looking forward to a new adventure.

Well its a new year! WOW. I have always loved looking at other peoples blogs it is fun to see what people are doing. I guess that is why I have decided to create my own blog. Christmas was great the kids had a lot of fun. Connor got a motorcycle he has been out ridding it even with the snow. Sam got a nintendo DS she is having fun learning how to play it. Zach was just excitted with all of the wrapping papaer. Ty and I just celebrated our ten year aniversary. WOW. We just made an offer on a house here in Garden City and our hoping to be able to move into it at the end of the month. Now all of you can start coming up to visit us now that we will be out of the doll house. Ty is enjoying his new job and all of the kids love him. I am now working a couple days down at Logan Regional Hospital and love it. I am still visiting my two hospice patients with Access. Well good bye for now
